I’m still not fully sure what a “kill switch” means. Are they powering off the machines and systems for the various equipment needed to make the chips? Or is it more of an actual destruction of the equipment needed for the chips?

I’m currently reading Chris Miller’s Chip War, so I’m getting pretty interested in chips and their role in powering everything.
