I am a former elections worker and university lecturer at the East China University of Political Science and Law (华东政法大学). Before coming back to the United States, I lived in China from 2016 to 2022.
Texas is home, but I am currently taking some time off from work to focus on writing and traveling. Latin America is my next destination.
I primarily write on Medium about the geopolitical dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region, including the competition between the United States and China, as well as the ongoing struggle between human rights advocacy and economic interests. I also focus my writing on the intersection between technology, misinformation/propaganda and democracy.
Aside from political writing, I also plan on delving into the occasional personal story and some travel writing.
Besides writing, I enjoy exploring new cities, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and hanging out with my cat. I am also a big language nerd.
